Abstract

Summary. The Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) is a virus with a very high probability of causing liver cancer. At present, there is no curative treatment, so the main thing is to avoid infection, with vertical transmission being the most frequent. Therefore, it is necessary to take certain preventive measures in pregnancy, to prevent the woman with the virus from infecting the fetus.

Objective. To know the different measures of prevention of the transmission of HBV in pregnancy.

Methodology. A bibliographic search is carried out in international and Hispanic American databases, in which 1,215 articles are initially obtained, which after applying a filter of years and selecting those that fit the theme, turn out to be 23 used.

Conclusion. In pregnant women with hepatitis B special care is needed, since it is fundamentally to prevent infection in the fetus. For this, according to the state of the mother's illness, the situation is handled in different ways.
