Introduction. COVID-19 has been and continues to be an important disease in global public health today. Throughout history, nursing and nurses have played a very crucial role during emergency situations and natural disasters. Nurses remain involved in this role and the stress and pressure that the pandemic has put on the health system has presented a real challenge for the profession. Spain's radiology services have done a great job in the COVID-19 pandemic. Although it was a service of great importance, it was excluded from what they called "first line" in an incomprehensible way, with the consequence that radiology nurses were not considered a priority for either vaccines or the distribution of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Objective. To show the emotional and labour impact generated by the COVID-19 pandemic and establish measures to deal with the possible results obtained.
Methodology. A descriptive and exploratory study in the nurses of the radiology services.
Conclusion. There is both labour and emotional impact in this nursing sector.
