Abstract

In this article we address advances in liver dynamic preservation in liver transplantation, in a context of increasing scarcity and deterioration of the quality of available organs. We analyze the use of techniques such as oxygenated hypothermic perfusion (HOPE) and normothermic perfusion (NMP), which improve the viability of the graft, reduce complications and rescue marginal livers. We also highlight the fundamental role of nursing in the safety, control and quality of the entire preservation process.
